PSU Young Ambassador is a PSU policy project that encourages students to appreciate the international languages and cultures, and help them understand and agree with different cultures. This project also strengthens a positive opinion and a peaceful understanding about foreign cultures and promotes a more effective expression with foreigners. Moreover, this program aims to develop student’s confidence in communicating in English.
This year, PSU Young Ambassadors X Program was held from 17-22 October in Malaysia with 45 PSU Young Ambassadors. They visited University Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penag and University of Malaya (UM) in Kuala Lumpur, in order to exchange knowledge and experiences about both countries culture and to participate in activities for relationing with each others. Furthermore, PSU Young Ambassadors were invited by the Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur to exchange the experiences between ambassadors and young ambassadors and to have lunch together. They were warmly welcomed by the diplomatic corps. The success of the project can be seen in the close relation built among the participants and the Malaysian universities visited.
“I got more and more experiences from joining this program. I can be a PSU young ambassador that means I am a representative of the university. I’m proud to be one of PSU young ambassadors. It’s not easy to be. You know how many relations that I got from this program. So, I think this program should be continuous for the new generations” Ms. Pijitra Tongpijid, 3rd year Liberal Arts student-PSU young ambassadors X.
“I don’t know how to explain the good return I got from joining this program. I got a lot of friends and many experiences. Before I join this program, I was very very bad in English, so now I can speak English better and it make me want to learn other languages. If someone be as me they will know what the important experiences they will get?” Mr. Charoenpong Songdechakraiwut, 3rd year Engineering student-PSU young ambassadors VIII
