Mrs. Salma Kosumphant, Head of the International Affairs Office of PSU, was invited to visit the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan from December 16-17, 2010. The objectives of her visit were to learn more about NCKU’s programs for international students and exchange knowledge and experiences concerning students and academics mobility, which can enrich their international experiences in academic and cultural fields.
Dr. Shiann-Far Kung, Director of International Student Affairs Division of NCKU, welcomed Mrs. Kosumphant. During the welcoming meeting, NCKU representatives presented more detailed information about their university. NCKU is a leading comprehensive university, has 22,438 students, among which there are 35 Thai students, 1,306 academic staff, and all four campuses have an area of 188 hectares in total.
PSU and NCKU representatives identified several areas of possible further collaboration between our universities, such as student exchange, research on tropical, hydraulics and coastal resources.
