PSU Students and Staff Visit SCAU, China

A group of twelve students and five staff members from Hat Yai, Pattani and Surat Thani campuses of PSU visited South China Agricultural University (SCAU) in Guangzhou City, China, from March 14-20, 2010. The objective of the visit was to learn more about the Chinese academic approach and culture. The PSU delegation, led by Ms. Rachanee Kalayakunawuti, lecturer at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, was warmly welcomed by Professor Dr. Yu Rangcai, Director, and Associate Professor Wang Zhenfu, Deputy Director, of the International Relations Office.

During their stay at SCAU, all PSU visitors had the chance to meet with colleagues from the relevant faculties and enjoy activities, such as assisting bilingual classes with Chinese students, visiting laboratories and facilities inside the campus, visiting SCAU animal farms and enjoying cultural shows and visits to museums, etc. Moreover, the PSU lecturers made presentations concerning their areas of expertise to SCAU students.

This visit was a part of the Staff and Students Exchange Program between PSU and SCAU. As a response to this agreement, the SCAU delegation is expected to come to PSU in July this year. PSU delegates would like to express their great appreciation to the officers of the International Relation Office and to the other staff and students from colleges for their kindness in taking care of them during their stay to SCAU.
