The International Affairs Office of Prince of Songkla University organizes annually a seminar in order to strengthen officers’ abilities, widen their visions and build a network among worldwide university’s International Affairs officers. All International Affairs staff can join this seminar, which includes visits to Thai and foreign universities. The seminar serves the policies of our university and our country, which invite to development and strengthen the collaboration with universities from the neighboring countries.
This year, for the practical session of the seminar, PSU’s International Affairs officers made study visits to Burapha University in Chon Buri Province, and Kyung Hee University in Korea. The seminar, organized from 26 October-01 November 2010, allowed all participants to learn about the internationalization strategy of these two universities, their international affairs structure and policies, and the specific work with foreign students and staff.
The 30 PSU delegates, led by Associate Professor Waran Tanchaiswad, M.D., Vice President for Human Resources Development, and Associate Professor Dr. Wichien Chatupote, Assistant President for International Affairs, greatly appreciated these visits, which were very successful, enjoyable, and effective, and represented a good opportunity for the three universities’ representatives to exchange knowledge and experiences and strengthen our relationship.
